What is the book about?: Rory, a very energetic dinosaur, and his father live in a tree house on an island.  Rory and his dad do everything together.  One day, Rory’s dad needs some quiet time.  Rory becomes bored and decides he is going to explore the island on his own.  As Rory explores the island, he remembers the rules his father has told him, such as; he’s not allowed to swim without his dad.  What Rory doesn’t realize is that his dad is following him to make sure nothing goes wrong.  Rory is so excited about his adventure, he runs home to share it with his dad.  After Rory tells his dad all about his adventure he says “But I’ll wait a while before I leave home again. I don’t want you to miss me too much.”

My Review: This is a sweet story about a boy and his father.  It shows Rory becoming independent but still under the watchful eye of his dad.  This is a great book for a dad and son to share.
