Business Plan

The Fondulac Public Library’s Business plan 2009-2011 is based on several meetings, which included participation by the Board of Trustees, the administration and by staff managers. Over the next three years, the Fondulac Public Library will focus on two key areas:
- Increase circulation by 3-5% per year
- New building action plan

Over the next three years, the Fondulac Library will focus on increasing overall circulation of materials by 9-15%, or 3-5% per year. In order to accomplish this, Fondulac Library will accomplish the following initiatives:

All children in the district in grade 3 will have a Fondulac Library card.

In order to update and refine the collection, a five year weeding plan will be written by June 2009.

All staff whose main duties are circulation will attend a customer service workshop.

The management team will plan and institute a staff reward program by June 2009.

Reference will focus on the promotion of business resources, both print and electronic and will have programs specifically for business audiences.

The library will develop a plan to market library resources

The administration, with input from the Board of Trustees, will write an Action Plan by June 30, 2009.

Circulation will develop a weekly/monthly talking point about the project.

A fundraising project will focus on a children’s project (i.e. a mural) in July through December.

The website will be redesigned to support the plan.

The project will be marketed to the community.

Non-circulation, public service staff will attend a customer service workshop.

Reference will focus on the promotion of genealogy resources, both print and electronic and will have programs on genealogy.

The library will continue to market library resources.

The library will execute the Action Plan.

A fundraising project will focus on a circulation project (i.e. an AV drop box) in July through December.

Interested parties will be able to donate online through the website.

Staff not directly involved with public service will attend a customer services workshop, thereby assuring that 100% of able staff will have completed one such workshop.

Reference will focus on medical information, both print and electronic and will have programs on the topic.

The library will continue to market library resources.
