MINUTES OF THE COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER MEETING

February 26, 2007

Members of the Fondulac District Library Board of Trustees met in special session on Monday, February 26, 2007. President Herring called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

On roll call the following members were present: Mrs. Cole, Mrs. Herring, Mr. Johnston and Mr. Lasswell. Also present were Ms. Falasz-Peterson, Director and Mrs. Geier, Administrative Assistant. Mr. Brimberry, Mr. Goff, Mr. Mingus and Miss McKeever were absent. Randy Gibson from PSA Dewberry was also in attendance.

The following community volunteers attended the meeting: Karen Stone, Bud Schmitt and Sandy Alwan.

Ms. Falasz-Peterson went over the building project starting at the beginning with the Long Range Plan to the present.

Randy Gibson discussed the roles of the volunteers, board and staff and what each of their contributions is in our campaign to pass the referendum. Mrs. Herring stated that she would like each volunteer to write letters in support of the library to the local newspapers.

There was more discussion on ideas and ways to contact other community members regarding the referendum. Mr. Schmitt offered to mail letters to 100 registered voters in the community.

The meeting adjourned at 8:00.
