What if the library doesn’t have what I need?

For items that are checked out, you may reserve the material by placing a hold for the item. The library will contact you when it’s available for you to checkout.

For items it does not own, the library cooperates and shares materials with area libraries to get you the items you want and need. To receive materials from other libraries, search the library’s catalog and change the library field near the “home” button to search All RSA Libraries. Place a hold as you would for items owned by Fondulac District Library.

In addition, the library can request items from libraries outside the RSACat catalog. This free service is available to anyone with a valid Fondulac District Library card. Fondulac District Library staff locates and requests the items and contacts the patron when available. The materials may then be checked out at Fondulac District Library by the patron for a specified time period. A request may be placed in person at the library, by phone at (309) 699-3917, or online by using the online Interlibrary Loan Request Form.

Can I renew my items?

Most materials can be renewed one time, if no one is waiting for the item, and can be renewed in-person, over the phone at (309) 699-3917, by text, or online. To renew items over the phone, please have your library card number ready. To renew items in-person, please have the items, your library card, or a current photo ID in hand.
